Buttermilk Marinade


  1. Dip the chicken slices into the buttermilk marinade and let them sit for at least an hour, or you can leave them overnight for even better flavour.

  2. Add some tablespoons of the buttermilk marinade to the flour mixture. Rub it into the flour using your fingers. This will bring about crumbly bits in the flour mixture, which will contribute to the crispy texture when the chicken is coated. Next, place the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mix. Press each piece of chicken firmly so that the mixture adheres well.

  3. Heat the oil to 180˚C and gently place the chicken pieces in, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown. After frying, place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil, and then they're ready to serve.
